Morning fog began rising above the hills on this late October camping trip. As the veil disappeared, brilliant fall colors took its place. The Buffalo River flows low and slow most autumns, and this one was no exception. You could wade across the river in some spots. I took this shot at the Steele Creek campground off of Highway 74 east of Ponca.
