After witnessing a bizarre event as a child, Jackson Reed set a strict course for his future. But life didn’t exactly go according to plan. He’s now a sheriff, a job he never wanted, in a rural area of Arkansas with a county seat named Peculiar. It’s the kind of thing that happens when your wife runs off to join a motorcycle gang, throwing well intended plans off course. Emotionally distraught and trying to sort out his life, Jack finds himself at the center of a controversial project that could threaten Peculiar’s existence. It falls to Jack to hold himself and the town together while finding a way out of the mess.
Peculiar is a quirky little town with colorful characters you’ll want to meet. It’s a place to call ‘home’ even if home isn’t exactly where you thought it might be.
About the Author
Robert J. Korpella (Bob) is a husband, parent, grandfather, author and consultant. A lifelong learner, Bob is certified as a Master Naturalist and is pursuing his M.Ed. He is a graduate of the University of Arkansas and enjoys nature photography, hiking, fishing, hunting and kayaking. He and his wife, Helyn, live in northern Arkansas and enjoy frequent visits with family.
Bob is the author of Dinosaur Dictionary for Kids, a book aimed at 5th grade students but enjoyed by ‘kids’ of all ages.
